Distance: 110 miles
Temple Legal Protection are participating in a location dash challenge to help raise much needed funds for one of our chosen charities this year, Queen Elizabeth Foundation (QEF).
The 110 mile trip takes us from our location in Bristol to our location in Guildford and you can participate by running, walking, swimming, cycling, basically any activity where you can record your distance.
Our aim is to raise some money to fund some specialist equipment for QEF’s new Care Rehabilitation Centre.
Over the last year QEF has worked with around 10,000 disabled people living with physical and learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries, supporting them in gaining new skills and increased independence. Whether its learning everyday life skills, rebuilding a life affected by brain injury, acquiring the skills to drive a specially adapted car or training for future employment, QEF supports disabled people to achieve their goals in life.
Despite the difficulties, the last year saw our incredible new Care and Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) open, for which the need is sadly greater than ever, with the added clients following the often-devastating neurological impact of COVID19. We are proud to not only be able to support more people during the pandemic but also be able to help the NHS when the pressures upon them were greater than ever.
The funds raised from the challenge will go towards much needed equipment such as a Jenx Standing Aid, which is a type of standing aid that has been specifically designed to allow joints to be supported, whilst training balance and building core strength. Along with a Tilt Table, this is ideal for treating neurological conditions and head injuries.
